THE LAW OF THE LORD

Chapter VIII

"Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sins of the world!" The power of this divine redemption is contained within every man. This power is the power contained in "The Light of Christ which is given to abide in every man who cometh into the world." And, "They who reject this Light are under condemnation."

The greatest condemnation any man could be under is to be existing without that Light, or even an awareness of It. These are the ones who have rejected this Light as they walk in their darkness at noonday. They are walking in their own puny strength and in their own wisdom, which is naught but darkness. It is darkness of mind, body and soul and any life is bleak and ugly without a conscious awareness of this divine Light. Neither do such have the gift of love, nor know the meaning of it. Love and Light are always together. One cannot have the great love without being filled with Light. Neither can he be filled with the divine Light of Christ without having love in its fulness.

Those who are without this Light of Christ manifest in their lives are the ones who are without power, though their words proclaim them to be the very elect of God and special heirs of His kingdom and of "His Royal Household." And, though they grasp the powers of rulership in their hands, or even the whole earth, they are but walking in darkness at noonday. Yes, regardless of their claims, their hands are empty for there is no power in them and their souls are desolate; they are poor and wretched, miserable, blind and naked and they know it not, so great is their ignorance and their blindness.

Only this divine Light of Christ, as it is brought forth from within, contains the power to enlighten and redeem each individual who will but seek humbly to comprehend It and to bring It forth in Its great power and glory and divine beauty. It is this "Light of Christ, that is given to abide in every man who cometh into the world," that contains all power, all joy, all fulfillment and the very record of heaven.

It is the power contained in this "Light of Christ," that holds the keys of these immortal words: "It is given to abide in you, the record of heaven; the Comforter; the peaceable things of immortal glory; the truth of all things; that which knoweth all things; which quickeneth all things, and maketh alive all things, and hath all power; according to wisdom, mercy, truth, justice and judgment."

"Wisdom, mercy, truth, justice and judgment" are the eternal principles of heaven. They are the divine substance of God's laws. They cannot fail, nor can they be changed, nor canceled, nor revoked. And it is according to these irrevocable laws of the Almighty Father that these divine powers are given to abide in man. And they are the powers of the "Light of Christ," which are also given to abide in him.

You may be sure that these most sacred, divine, holy gifts and powers were not placed in man to be forgotten and ignored. Man's great heritage is to bring them forth and use them.

Man is the only creation who is worthy and highly enough advanced to be endowed with such divine, potential powers. They are the very gifts and powers of God Himself. Yea, "All that the Father has is yours."

Man has lost the vision of such promises by thinking it means lands, bank-accounts, high positions, great estates or worldly honors. These material things are only the "red-glass beads". The great pearls are the Spiritual jewels and are the gifts of the Spirit. These contain all powers. The divine powers of heaven are not represented in the red-glass beads.

The powers of heaven are the great Spiritual gifts, gifts beyond anything that man has yet dreamed of. These holy powers and gifts are the pearls. They include every gift and power of creation, even the power to create from the great universal substance all that is necessary to fill one's needs. For as one seeks diligently the kingdom of heaven all these things will be added. And, "The Kingdom of Heaven is within you." You do not believe it? Then you do not believe the things Christ spoke, neither have you lived His laws that you might know if He spoke the truth.

The Father's gifts not only include the power to fulfill all one's physical needs, but they include all-power, all knowledge and the quickening powers of Life itself, even the power of renewal. This is the very power of Life Eternal. These great and unthought-of powers are included in "All that the Father has", which is yours. Within His power is even the power to overcome the world, not one's fellowmen, but the evils, the darkness and the hold of mortality.

These great and unspeakable gifts and powers of the Father, which are also given to abide in man, are contacted and developed through accepting that "Light of Christ, which is given to abide in every man," instead of rejecting it.

Naturally he who rejects this Light is under condemnation for It has not been permitted to come forth with Its great power of redemption. Within this Christ Light is the power to redeem each man as he brings It forth or accepts It. It can free him completely from all earthly bondage, from sin, error, sickness -- and death. It is the very power of Christ awaiting each man's acceptance of It. As It is permitted to come forth, or is developed through love, praise and gratitude, It can cleanse, purify and redeem. It erases the errors and mistakes of the past and closes the way to them in the future.

As one develops the power of love, he receives also the gift of compassion and the great power to be able to forgive. In the gift of forgiving he is freed from his own cankering grudges, his hates and condemning thoughts and his bickerings and fault-finding. In releasing these dark, negative traits of discords and jealousies he is truly prepared to be forgiven. This great law of Christ contains the power of forgiveness in all its sublime beauty. First, as one forgives his neighbors, the great love and Light of Christ can become active in his own life. This is how Christ's power of redemption works. Then it can be released to help redeem one's erring brother. This is the law.

This love is the law of the Light of Christ. It IS the Christ love. And it is only as one perfects love that this great, divine Light of Christ can become truly manifest in one's life, releasing Its unspeakable powers.

Within this holy Light of Christ is contained the power to take away the sins of the world. This great power is concentrated right within man. This power is multiplied as each individual learns to contact and release It within himself. As this Light is developed and brought forth, through singing gratitude to God and divine, glorious love, one's hates and discords and darkness are also released and overcome. This is how the Light is brought forth. It is developed through the perfect love that casts out all fears and darkness and negation. Love is Its strength and Its power and Its glory.

Within this Light of Christ is contained the compassionate power to drop all bickerings, hard-feelings, hates and envyings. There is the power to forgive every trespassing brother and to enfold him in love. In this way the great, promised healing can come, first to oneself and then to his brother. And as this is practiced it will expand in power until the whole world is included in it -- and all mankind can be healed. This is the power of Christ's redemptive laws as they are permitted to accomplish the great purpose for which He gave His life.

The law of forgiveness is true and exact, as are all the laws of God. "And if one does as He says, then is He bound. But if they do not as He says, then they have no promise." "As you forgive, so shall you be forgiven."

Another way of expressing it is thus: "To him who loves much, much is forgiven." True, divine love carries with it the powers to forgive and so to be forgiven.

Only as one begins to use these great powers abiding within himself can he prove his belief in Jesus Christ, Son of the living God. These are the words that must be accepted -- and lived. Their power is contained in their being lived. Only by such belief as is required by the giving of one's life to prove His words can one possibly honor and glorify God. This is the supreme dedication. Give your life -- your great living life to live His laws and you will know of their power, for only in this way can His promises be confirmed and fulfilled in you -- the power to do the works which He did -- even the greater works.

This great, divine Light of Christ, which was promised to be with man, even until the end of the world, is contacted and developed through love and praise and gratitude. Love and praise and thanksgiving comprise the vibration produced by the trilogy of these three, which IS the Light of Christ Itself. As praise and love and gratitude blend into a harmony of triumphant glory within one they become a singing song of ecstasy. And this symphony of glory is the Light of Christ vibration and the power of It as It swings into action right within man. It is this great divine song of praising glory that contains all that the Father has. This is the vibration that holds that Unspeakable Name of Jesus Christ. And as one learns to hold that vibration at all times, he truly takes upon him the Name of Jesus Christ -- the only Name given under heaven whereby a man can be saved.

Hold that exulting, divine Light of Christ vibration and watch the evils of your life crumble before it and melt away as your path is made straight and your difficulties overcome. This is the beginning of the Life more abundant! It is the power of Jesus Christ, our Lord, as it begins to work in your life! Bring forth this vibration of Light and all darkness and evil will be left behind or be transformed completely into strength and power. All darkness fades before It! All distress is overcome! All evils are transmuted as mortality itself is exalted into immortality!

The Light of Christ is a reality and an unspeakable power in the life of every man who accepts it. It is released and developed in man and becomes manifest through that song of love and praise and thanks. These three contain the vibration and the power of Its releasing and of Its expression.

The only way the complete powers of Christ's holy, divine gift of redemption can become efficacious in an individual's life is for him to accept and bring forth that Light of Christ which is given to abide in himself. It is this sacred, divine Light which holds the powers of each man's redemption. And "He who rejects this Light is still under condemnation" because he is unredeemed though he lays claim to the very gates of heaven.

This great gift of redemption is not forced upon any individual. Man has to desire It, accept It and complete Its perfection as a reality by laying hold of It. Christ did His part in giving His life for the sins of the world. Man's part is in accepting His offering and in literally using It. Every gift must be accepted, appreciated and used in order to have any worth or real value. This Light is a living, dynamic power of eternal glory that is offered freely for every perfect moment of living for it helps those who have It to live every moment perfectly.

One must become aware of this holy gift in order to know It. This Christ Light, which is given to abide in every man is the great TRUTH that will make man free -- when he knows It.

This Light is developed and brought forth through love and praise and gratitude. This is man's appreciation so dynamically expressed the gift becomes perfected and fulfilled in all Its glory.

This divine Light of Christ not only contains the powers of each man's redemption, so that he is no longer under condemnation, it holds the powers of his re-newal.

"The whole world lieth under the bondage of sin" and darkness because this Light has been rejected in the lives of men. And it is when one knows this great Truth, or Light of Christ that he becomes free -- free from the darkness and burden of earth's claims and its curse of sorrows and sins and suffering and blindness -- and death.

Those who are ignorant of this Light know not the TRUTH. And those who know not this Light or Truth have never been free. They know not the meaning of freedom. They are in bondage to mammon and in subjection to sin and to the laws of the flesh and mortality -- and death. These are the ones who have rejected this Light of Christ and are under condemnation in that they have remained unredeemed. Unless that Light of Christ is brought forth in Its fullness in a man's life, and he knows Its powers and has access to them, he is still rejecting that Light and remains under condemnation, or in an unredeemed condition though he stands at the very head of Christendom.

When one has contacted that Christ Light within and is aware of It, or knows the TRUTH, then it is possible for him to ask anything and have it granted. Then only is it possible for him to begin to do the works which He did, for He, Christ will do the works.
